Aimee joined the IAAB team as an Accounting Associate in August 2013. She performs a variety of bookkeeping services for our AMS clients. She is currently working toward obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, playing piano, and spending time with her daughters Kylee & Juliet and husband Justin.
Brenda is an Accountant with more than 25 years experience in accounting and financial reporting for the insurance industry. After working in-house at agencies for many years, she formed IAAB in 2007 to help independent agencies manage their accounting and bookkeeping. Brenda earned her MBA from the University of Connecticut, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University and has also earned the insurance CIC designation. She has earned the NetVU Certification of Insurance Accounting, is a member of the NetVU Educators Guild and has completed all required sessions of the Applied Epic & Applied TAM accounting series sponsored by the Applied Client Network. Brenda’s passion for her profession is also clear in her teaching. She has served as adjunct instructor of accounting at several Connecticut colleges, including the University of Connecticut, Tunxis Community College and Post University. Outside of accounting Brenda enjoys volunteering for civic events, listening to music and spending time with her husband John and her pet beagle Butter and cat Ruby.
Bryan joined the IAAB team in January 2016 as an Accounting Associate and was recently promoted to an Accountant position working with Applied Systems agency Principals and staff. He has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University. Bryan is welcoming to any type of challenge and looks forward to creating new agency relationships. When not in the office, Bryan, who lives in Goshen, Connecticut can be found enjoying his passion for motorsports as well as spending time with friends and family.
Dawn joined IAAB in 2014 as an Accounting Specialist and quickly learned Applied System’s Epic management systems. She has enjoyed learning about the insurance world, interacting with new people across the country and working with her teammates. She brings several years of bookkeeping experience to the IAAB Team. Dawn lives in Torrington, Connecticut and enjoys spending time with her grown daughter, Sydney, watching scary movies and indulging in a good mystery book when not working at IAAB.
Josh has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting along with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. He quickly learned the insurance side of accounting and now oversees all of IAAB’s Applied Systems clients. He plans an integral role in training new associates and onboarding new agencies. Josh has completed all required sessions of the Applied Epic & Applied TAM accounting series sponsored by the Applied Client Network. In his role as Director of Accounting Josh enjoys the relationship side of his career, especially problem solving for his clients and the rest of the IAAB team. Outside of work, Josh, who currently lives in West Hartford, Connecticut, is an avid reader, admits he can’t live without Netflix and enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
After spending 6 years working in the banking industry, Katherine came to IAAB looking to learn more about accounting. She currently works as an Accounting Clerk for Applied TAM and Applied Epic agencies. She is eager to learn the many aspects of Accounting and Bookkeeping and brings years of customer service and problem solving skills to the agency. Outside of work, Katherine enjoys spending time with her family and traveling with her husband, Kevin. Most recently traveling to Nova Scotia, Canada. She also enjoys frequenting the cinema to see the newest movies.
Kayla works as an Accountant for AMS360 agencies. Kayla joined the IAAB team in 2014 while completing her education. She progressed from Accounting Clerk to Associate to Accountant. She graduated from CCSU earning a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Outside of work, Kayla loves to spend time with her dog, Bones, her boyfriend, and her family.
Nathalie joined IAAB in 2012. She currently works as an Accounting Associate for Applied Epic agencies in addition to being the go-to person for questions on direct bill and producer commission processing. She enjoys working with the independent insurance agents she has met over the years as well as working with the IAAB team. Nathalie is versed in both Vertafore AMS360 and Applied Epic, TAM, and Doris. She embraces the new challenges that come across her desk on a daily basis as she pursues an Associate Degree in Accounting. Outside of work, Nathalie spends most of her free time with her two sons Jaedyn and Jerami.
Sarah earned a Bachelor of English from Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, PA before joining the IAAB team in 2014. She handles payroll processing for many of IAAB’s clients. She also specializes in direct bill commission invoicing for Applied Epic agencies. Communicating and working directly with clients is the most rewarding aspect of her career, as well as the detail oriented problem solving needed along the way. Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with friends and family.
Shaun joined IAAB in 2015. He works as an accounting associate for Applied Epic agencies. He became interested in accounting because of his strength in math and with numbers. His favorite aspect of bookkeeping is the daily problem solving that arises. Outside of work Shaun enjoys playing poker, writing, and is an avid New York Giants fan.
Stephanie joined IAAB in 2011 and has earned an Associate degree from Naugatuck Valley Community College. She has earned the NetVU Certification of Insurance Accounting and has completed all required sessions of the Applied Epic & Applied TAM accounting series sponsored by the Applied Client Network. She is versed in both Applied TAM and Vertafore AMS360 management systems. Stephanie enjoys working one-on-one with agents and problem solving on the more complex situations.Beyond accounting, Stephanie stays very active with her son and happily admits that their watching cartoons together is part of fun, family time!
